Red Spinning Musical Note

When we've been there ten thousand years, bright shining as the sun, we've no less days to sing God's praise than when we first begun.

JESUS SPOKE TO JIMMY HILL IN A SUMMER REVIVAL. On August 7,1960 my mother carried my big brother, my baby sister and me (a nine year old)to a Revival at Bevill's Chapel Baptist Church in Hazel Green, Alabama. My dad was at his job pulling a 2nd shift. It was the last night of the revival. We had attended every service all week. I remember that it was raining and stormy. God began dealing with me as the preacher preached. They gave the invitation, "Just As I Am." The Holy Spirit told me to walk the aisle. I was so frightened. I wanted to....but just couldn't make the first step. The invitation closed and I didn't go....but still I knew that I had to do something. I saw a man, holding a Bible, at the rear of the church dressed like a Kentucky Colonel. God told me to go to the man. With teary eyes, I ran to the tall white figure and wrapped my arms around his waist. He asked me if I wanted to invite Jesus into my heart. I said "yes." He led me to Christ at the rear of that old church house. I remember the joy and excitement that filled the room as everybody joined in singing "Amazing Grace." As I walked out the door and stood on the steps of the church house, I gazed into the star twinkling sky. I drew a long breathe of the freshly rained-cleansed air. The storm had past...from the night skies and this little nine year old boy's heart.
